Structural Strengthening & Restoration
Structural Strengthening & Restoration
At the site rehabilitation or upgrading of reinforced concrete members using enlargement of the cross section, bonded steel plates was an effective, convenient, and economic method of improving structural performance. However, disadvantages inherent in the use of steel or traditional enlargement of concrete element, where possible, have stimulated research into the possibility of using fibre reinforced polymer (FRP) materials in its place, providing a non-corrosive, more versatile strengthening system. The need for repair and strengthening may arise from deterioration, changes in use, changes in the relevant design codes, structural defects, or seismic conditions.
Structural Strengthening is done to enhance the capacity of load bearing members of the structure or any building. Here columns, beams and slabs are strengthened using various techniques available. Carbon fibres are used extensively as a modern technique. At a more traditional level, column jacketing, beam enlargement and slab widening are achieved using design enhancement by adding more steel and micro concrete.
We have skilled team & qualified engineers in our division of Structural Strengthening & Concrete Repair. We undertake jobs for rehabilitation and restoration using convenient and economic method of improving structural performance. Water Seal uses the latest technologies to develop innovative strategies to restore or add load-carrying capacity to bridges, buildings, parking facilities, silos and other structures.
